Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy. We only collect the data necessary to provide accurate astrological calculations and secure account management. We do not sell your data.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Data: Email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).
• Birth Data: Date, time, and location of birth. This is essential for astrological calculations.
• Payment Data: Processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card number.
• Usage Data: Anonymized analytics to help us improve the app logic and user experience.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your birth data is used to:

• Calculate your astrological chart positions.
• Generate rectification candidates and insights.
• Provide personalized reports.

Your birth data is never uploaded to advertising platforms, sold to third parties, or used for ad targeting.

Aggregated Research & Insights

We may use anonymized, aggregated data to study statistical trends in astrological and numerological patterns—for example, identifying that a particular planetary placement correlates with a common life-event category across many users. No personally identifiable information is exposed in this research. All analysis operates on de-identified datasets. Individual users are never singled out or profiled.

If you prefer to opt out of aggregated research, you can do so in your Settings page.

We use OpenAI's API to help generate interpretive text. Your birth data is sent to OpenAI for processing but is not used to train their models (we use their API with zero-retention policies where available).

3. Data Retention

We retain your account and birth data for as long as your account is active. You may request full data deletion at any time by:

• Emailing privacy@oneascendant.com
• Deleting your account from your Settings page

Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third-party providers:

• Supabase: Authentication and database hosting.
• Stripe: Payment processing.
• Vercel: Web hosting and infrastructure.
• OpenAI: Interpretive text generation.
• Meta (Facebook): We use Meta's Marketing API to manage our own advertising campaigns. No private Facebook user data is collected or accessed beyond what is necessary to operate our ad account.

5. Astrologer Access (Max Plan)

If you are on the Max plan and choose to grant an astrologer access to your account, please be aware that:

• Your privacy relationship is with the astrologer, not One Ascendant. Once you grant access, the astrologer can view your birth data, chart, and rectification history.
• One Ascendant is not responsible for how the astrologer uses or stores your data once they have access.
• You can revoke astrologer access at any time from your Settings page.
• We recommend only granting access to astrologers you trust. You may wish to ask about their own privacy practices before sharing access.
